Oh, oof. THIS page. So...I've had some thoughts about this page for a few years now. The whole idea of Miko's actions here, and in the pages following, was to show a few facets of her character. She cares, sometimes too much, but she also thinks she knows what's best for everyone. You'll see.

Anyway, I drew this scene a little TOO harsh in appearance. It looks like it hurt poor Yukina, huh? I just wanted it to be a little tiny thing that would at least make Yukina hesitate, not outright get hurt by! Man...what an fumble I made there! 

I'd definitely redraw this a little differently nowadays, though the action itself (Miko stopping Yukina from chasing after Rie)? No. Miko's decision would stay.

Doesn't help that Miko's eye while lit up just looks scary regardless of her being stern or outright enraged. Looking at you, 5th panel...
