Cassandra: Well, it's the term my group has come up with. No one seems to have a set name for us. I've heard so many terms in my travels...and some don't even havea name - just like your book. But we are all defined by our evolved senses, particularly in our increased brain activities.
We are still a fairly new race in this world, one that desperately needs to discover one another to learn more about ourselves.
But for many of us, it's still very difficult to seek support, let alone live. Because we are so "young" and unknown, many fear us. They taunt us, bully us...sometimes leading to dire circumstances. Even death... How are we to advance if we're constantly being shunned?
...That's why I started my group - to find as many Ascendants as we can...to educate and train them to use their abilities safely...And someday, we will finally be accepted...
