This page is technically a personal milestone. The monologue going on here has been planned and written down for months now. This is pretty much what helped shaped Raison to its current story - the need for a girl to find out what her idols went through while maturing so she can figure out her own place in the world.

Also, Sachiko’s journals are adorable and you can’t tell me otherwise.

[2022 Addendum] So, "The War"...This phrase has bothered me since about the ending pages of Chapter 3, a time when I was finally figuring out just what I wanted to tell in this story. Raison has had a few different plot ideas between its inception, as well as while I was writing the Prologue-Chapter 3! That's the magic of webcomics - evolution not just in art, but in storytelling.

The War was, literally, a large-scale battle I wanted to tell at the very end of all the Past Era stories of Raison that wrapped things up and explained why/how some of the older characters look/act the way they do in Yukina's time. Personally, though, this is why I want to do a retelling of Pt 1 via the REMIX Project - get some of those thoughts out in their proper part in the story and make some of those seemingly sudden mysteries (that I made *too* subtle even back then, heh) more obvious as things to look out for as you read. 

Don't worry, though! A later chapter even within this old Part 1 will address the phrase and clarify what happened and why it's not considered a "war," but rather...an "Incident" (at least, in Word of God terms. It may get a better name). But one thing's for certain - Yukina is aware of something that happened when the adults were in their 20s, and it wasn't good. But she only knows the vague reports from the NKP archives. That's it~
